Harrison Keithline

Drummer, Engineer

            A Rhode Island native, Harrison Keithline has been living and working in and around the New York City music scene since 2009. After completing his studies at famed institutions The Drummers Collective and The New School, Harrison went on to perform with many artists including Chuck Levell, the actor Michael Pitt, Jacob Jefferies, Jake Pinto, Zenizen and the indie rock band Napoleon. Harrison has played up and down NYC in venues like Lincoln Center, the Bowery Ballroom and outdoor stages at The World Trade Center and Union Square. In 2015 he made his international debut at The Bern Jazz Festival and later that year was featured in the magazine “Modern Drummers” blog site. 2017 saw Harrison inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame for his work with Pysch rock band Plan 9.  In 2020 Harrison’s work with artist Ravi Shavi was featured in that year’s release of the videogame “RockBand 4.” Searching for another way in which to shape music Harrison began a career as an audio engineer in 2012. His first job was at The New School for Jazz where we worked for and mixed jazz legends Reggie Workman, Wadada Leo Smith, Dave Douglas, Billy Harper, and Buster Williams. In 2015 Harrison was the production operator for one of the biggest art pieces of that year, Philippe Parrenos “Hypnosis.” In 2016 he was the sound designer for “Heartbeat on The Highline”, an opera production performed on the Highline park in Manhattan. . More recently Harrison has been working freelance for NYC institutions like Vice, Trinity Church, Neue House, WYNC and The New School. He maintains a busy schedule on both sides of the stage as an audio engineer and drummer.
